We're really excited to announce that our window wander will be back on the 27th and 28th of February 2026 for our third year running!
For anyone new to the event, we ask residents in the South Pelaw area to join us in creating a window display with card and tissue paper - of anything you like - then to light them up over the two evenings, so that residents can take a wander through the streets and see all the wonderful creations!
We've teamed up once again with Hayley, a wonderful local artist, to help us with workshops and displays at both Holyoake community centre and Chester-le-Street CE School. Keep an eye out for this year's display at Holyoake from Saturday the 31st of January!
The workshop at Holyoake will be held on Saturday the 21st to which all are welcome. Whether you choose to attend a workshop or make your display at home, we can provide all of the materials, help and advice you might need.
If you're not feeling artistic, or just don't have the time, we'd still love for you to come along and enjoy the displays and you can pop in to Holyoake for a map, crafts and refreshments over the two nights.
If you'd like to let us know that you're taking part, so that we can add you to the map follow the link below to register by email.
If you'd like some inspiration you can view all the wonderful entries from 2024 and 2025 here.
